FATE 2003
The fairy is a legendary creature, present in fairy tales or myths of mainly Italian and French origin, but which still finds similar figures in the mythologies of Eastern Europe.
In the original southern European sense (without Celtic influences) it is totally supernatural, that is, it has nothing human but its appearance. The name fairy comes from the other Latin name of the Fates, which is Fatae, or those who preside over Fate. The fairy is a magical being, a kind of spirit of Nature.
I mixed myths and archetypes. I made up stories. Even today I love to rewrite the stories of myths, to change certain stereotypes.
I imagined the last fairies and the last wizards who are leaving us ...
There are no limits to creativity and imagination.
To express myself is to create new thoughts, new imaginaries, new boundaries.
In this infinite project I arrive at the origin of everything, where man, woman, are only human beings, told in their limits, in their excesses, in their nobility and grandeur, in every reality and in every age.
It is a work of 2003, in Dia, many still to be digitized, which has mixed with many other things up to now poems, stories, installations.

I started in 2003, shooting in Dia, I made a work called Fate (The departure of the fairs), it begins with this work to my reinterpretation of the myths, or transforming them to the feminine, as in this case, Dafni is in fact a man, or completely revisiting them creating new stories. These photos were taken at the excavations of Roselle, Gr, model Anna Ferrara.

Daphni: In certain versions of the myth he becomes the beloved pederastic of Hermes, rather than his son: Daphni is then described and shown as an eromenos. Famous for his beauty, Apollo, Pan and Artemis took care of him and learned many things from them, among others to compose bucolic poems. He became an experienced shepherd and was loved by the nymph Achenais. In one version of his legend, it is said of his infidelity, so much so that the nymph, jealous, blinded him. Daphnis ended his days singing sad pastorals, of which he is considered the inventor. He tried to kill himself by jumping off a cliff, but the god Dionysus saved him by turning him into stone.
According to Ciaceri, the legend of Daphni is one of those cases in which a pre-existing indigenous cult has been transformed and adapted by the Greek civilization. In fact, Dafni presents himself to us as the personification of the pastoral life of the ancient Sicilians (Emanuele Ciaceri, Cults and myths in the history of ancient Sicily).

Erinyes: Aletto and Tisifone regenerate in the woods without masks, and contact mercy.
(Lesser but terrible deities, the Erinyes were three creatures charged with punishing those who violated certain taboos. They tormented, for example, those who cursed, those who revolted against their mother, those who brought unnecessary violence to women. Their names are known: Aletto, Megera and Tisipone.
Furious in their enforcement of violent and summary justice, the Erinyes were often so ruthless in their task that the collateral damage was incalculable. Even their appearance was enough to terrify the unfortunate: snakes, whips and torches in hand and in hair, flew on great bat wings, bringing death from the sky.
The Romans called them Furies.)
Return to Feridia: Pervinca, came into the world when a drop of fresh dew, slipping from a petal of the beautiful flower that gave it its name, came into contact with the ground. Her hair was the same color as gold, her eyes two blue gems that stood out against the pale skin, and she wore a thin sea-colored veil.
When a Fairy decides to return to Feridia it is said that she dies, passes on the Astral plane and it is difficult for her to return to our world.
